A Feast with the Gods

Once, a frantic man was invited by his God to feast with him on a delicately embellished table amidst the clouds. Upon reaching the venue the man was perplexed to see Gods from all religions sitting together, dressed almost similarly, conversing with each other.

With his parochial understanding, he could resist not but asked: “To which one of you do I belong?”

An unequivocal reply echoed: “Pick one of your own choosing.”

Bamboozled, the man looked for the one suiting his image crafted out of his mechanically conditioned beliefs and stories.

Even as he thought and struggled and wondered, deep inside he realized he could not understand the chemistry various Gods shared. That blurred his religious polarizations.

Finally, he said: “Though I am supposed to choose as per my beliefs taught to me underneath the ether, now that I am amongst you, I fail to relate to it anymore. My vision has impaired in finding my own God.”

“In that failure”, the Gods replied, again unanimously, “you have succeeded in comprehending what most just fight upon.” “You do not have one God but all.” “Our job is done for you chose well, not just for you but all who share in your existence.” “Go back and live free, not within the confines of religions but in the infinity of your own self.”
